RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER
VACATION OF PUBLIC STREET
WHEREAS, it appears that a portion of Meadow Avenue, south-
easterly of the intersection of Meadow Avenue with Redding Way, and
hereinafter described is unnecessary for present or prospective public
purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of the STREET VACATION ACT OF
1941 of the State of California;
2. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
declares its intention to vacate that portion of Meadow Avenue
hereinafter described;
3. That the 17th day of February, 1981, at 8:00 p.m., in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, San Rafael, California, is hereby fixed
as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the said proposed vacation.
4. That the Department of Public Works of the City of San
Rafael shall post conspicuously notices of street vacation along the
lines of said public street proposed to be vacated, which notices
shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart but at
least three (3) notices shall be posted as to said street proposed
to be vacated. The said notice shall state time and place of hearing
as hereinabove provided, and the adoption of the within Resolution of
Intention.
5. That said street proposed to be vacated is described on
Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
this reference as though set forth in full.
6. That a map or plan showing said street proposed to be
vacated is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
San Rafael at the City Hall, San Rafael, California.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 2nd day of February, 1981, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Jensen, Miskimen, Nixon & Mayor Mulryan

That certain real property situated in the City of San Rafael,
County of Marin, State of California, being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line of Meadow Avenue,
as shown on the map entitled "Map of Bret Harte Meadows, Unit One",
filed October 29, 1942 in Map Book 5 at page 96, Marin County
Official Records, said point being distant South 46°34' East, 50.00
feet from the most Westerly corner of Lot 1, as shown on said Map;
thence along said Southeasterly line, South 46°34' East, 10.224
feet to the most Southerly corner of said Lot 1, said point being
on the exterior boundary line of said Map; thence along said
exterior boundary line, South 43°26' West, 40.00 feet to the
Northeasterly line of Lot 73, as shown on said Map; thence along
said Northeasterly line, North 46°34' West, 24.844 feet;thence
along a tangent curve to the left with a radius of 20 feet whose
center bears South 43°26' West, a central angle of 57°24'36" and
an arc distance of 20.04 feet; thence leaving said curve, North
76°01'26" East, 58.428 feet to point of beginning.
Containing 939.04 square feet of land, more or less.
RESERVING, HOWEVER, a public utility easement over the above described
property for the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, replace-
ment, removal and renewal of any and all public utility facilities and
appurtenances.
