A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL ORDERING VACATION OF PORTION OF
MEADOW AVENUE, SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael, on
the 2nd day of February, 1981, passed and adopted Resolution No.
6051, entitled, "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF
PUBLIC STREET," and
WHEREAS, notice was published and posted as required.bly
law, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was had this day as required by law,
and said Resolution No. 6051, at which hearing the Council of ti.e
City of San Rafael heard evidence offered by all persons interests d
in or objecting to the vacation hereinafter ordered, and
WHEREAS, it appears from the evidence offered and from all.
of the evidence submitted, and the said Council finds, that a portion
of the street herein described is unnecessary for present or pros-
pective public street purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that a
portion of MEADOW AVENUE, southeasterly of the intersection of MEADOW
AVENUE with Redding Way, located in the City of San Rafael, California,
hereinafter more particularly described, is unnecessary for presen.t
or prospective public street purposes and is hereby vacated subjec-t
to the following conditions:
1.) That portion of MEADOW AVENUE proposed to be abandaacad
and hereinafter described shall be merged with the
adjacent lot designated 1980 Marin County.Assessor°s
Parcel No. 13-212-15.
2.) That portion of MEADOW AVENUE proposed to be abandoned
and hereinafter described shall be rezoned to an�appro-
priate residential zone.
That portion of the public street proposed to be vacated is
located in the City of San Rafael, State of California, designated
as MEADOW AVENUE, and is more particularly described as follows:

That certain real property situated in the City of San Rafael,
County of Marin, State of California, being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line of Meadow Avenue,
as shown on the map entitled "Map of Bret Harte Meadows, Unit One",
filed October 29, 1942 in Map Book 5 at page 96, Marin County
Official Records, said point being distant South 46°34' East, 50.00
feet from the most Westerly corner of Lot 1, as shown on said Map;
thence along said Southeasterly line, South 46°34' East, 10.224
feet to the most Southerly corner of said Lot 1, said point being
on the exterior boundary line of said Map; thence along said
exterior boundary line, South 43°26' West, 40.00 feet to the
Northeasterly line of Lot 73, as shown on said Map; thence along
said Northeasterly line, North 46°34' West, 24.844 feet; thence
along a tangent curve to the left with a radius of 20 feet whose
center bears South 43°26' West, a central angle of 57°24'36" and
an arc distance of 20.04 feet; thence leaving said curve, North
76°01'26" East, 58.428 feet to point of beginning.
Containing 939.04 square feet of land, more or less.
RESERVING, HOWEVER, a public utility easement over the above described
property for the installation, maintenance, repair, operation, replace-
ment, removal and renewal of any and all public utility facilities and
appurtenances.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Tuesday, the 17th day of February, 1981, by the following
vote, to wit:
