RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THERE IS A NEED FOR A PARKING
AUTHORITY TO FUNCTION IN•THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AND DE-
CLARING THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE THE PARKING AUTHORITY
The City Council of the City of San Rafael resolves:
Section 1. That pursuant to Section 32651 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby
declares that there is need for a parking authority to function in
the City of San Rafael.
Section 2. That pursuant to Section 32650 of said Code, the
name of said parking authority is and shall be the "Parking Authority
of the City of San Rafael" and said Authority is and shall be a public
body corporate and politic.
Section 3. That pursuant to the authority granted by Section
32661.1 of said Code, this City Council hereby declares itself to be
the Parking Authority and accordingly, all the rights, powers, duties,
privileges and immunities vested by the Parking District Law of 1949
(Sections 32500 et seq. of said Code) in the members of the Authority
shall be vested in the City Council as the Parking Authority.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on the 20th day of July, 1981, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Miskimen & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Jensen & Nixon
