RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DESIGNATING JUNE AS PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH
WHEREAS, the citizens of San Rafael may take advantage of
the park and recreation system; and,
WHEREAS, suitable and positive recreation experiences are
vital to good physical and mental health and enhance the quality
of life for all people; and,
WHEREAS, all citizens can enjoy self -renewal in the out-of-
doors through green spaces and facilities in parks; and
WHEREAS, all citizens can fulfill their potential in the use
of their leisure time through the varied individual and group
opportunities provided by recreation; and
WHEREAS, these services create part of the total lifestyle
San Rafael exhibits in offering an attractive and rich travel
experience to visitors; and
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael recognizes that the efforts of the professional
park and recreation workers have enhanced the services available
to City residents and designates June of 1981 as Parks and Recreation
Month.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday the 18th day of May, 1981 by the following vote,
to wit:
