HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6106RESOLUTION NO. 6 106 RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR ED80-8 AND s80-6; TWO PROFES- SIONAL OFFICE BUILDINGS AT 1401-1455 LOS GAMOS ROAD (AP 165-010-29) WHEREAS, applications for two 12,000 net square foot office buildings and related site improvements at 1401-1455 Los Gamos Road (AP 165-010-29) were submitted for Design Review approval pursuant to Title 14 of the Municipal Code and tentative subdivision pursuant to Title 15 of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, Pursuant to CEQA, an initial environmental study was prepared and a Negative Declaration was recommended with specific conditions to mitigate adverse traffic impacts caused by the development; and WHEREAS, the San Rafael Planning Commission held public hearings on March 25, 1980, April 8, 1980, January 27, 1981 and February 10, 1981, and on February 10, 1981, denied the project based upon the cumulative traffic impacts and the inability of the applicant to comply with conditions recommended to mitigate concerns; and WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council on April 20, 1981, held a public hearing to hear an appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of the project; and WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council determined that the adverse traffic impacts caused by the development could be mitigated through payment into a traffic improvement fund and by development of a bike path connector. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council certified a Negative Declaration for ED80-8 and s80-6 for the development of two office buildings and related site improvements. I, JEANNE M.
