A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL DECLARING JULY 6 THROUGH JULY 12 AS
NATIONAL GIRLS' -14 TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEK
The City of San Rafael, hereinafter referred to as City,
does hereby declare, find and determine that:
1. WHEREAS, the USTA National Girls' -14 Tennis Champion-
ships is holding their annual championship matches in San Rafael
at the Marin Tennis Club and Dominican College from July 6 through
July 12, 1981; and
2. WHEREAS, this tournament has been held in San Rafael
for the first time and will host outstanding young tennis players
from all parts of the nation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael does hereby declare July 6 through July 12
as NATIONAL GIRLS' -14 TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEK, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that recognition is hereby given
to the San Rafael residents for their support of this event with
thanks, gratitude and best wishes for success from the San Rafael
City Council.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 15th day of June 1981, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Jensen, Nixon & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner & Miskimen
