RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION TO THE
MARIN LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
IS MADE FOR AN ANNEXATION
PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT
(Nunes Open Space Parcel E Annexation)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, commencing
with Section 35000 of the California Government Code, a City Council representing
the City of San Rafael may, by resolution adopted by this legislative body,
initiate proceedings involving annexation to said city; and
WHEREAS,the subject territory is located in the County of Marin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Application, which is hereby made to the Marin Local Agency
Formation Commission of the County of Marin, proposes the following:
A. This proposal is made pursuant to, and is in compliance with pro-
visions of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977.
B. Said application requests that proceedings be taken for annexation
of uninhabited territory affecting the City of San Rafael.
C. The boundaries of the affected territory are illustrated on an
attached map, and are described in Exhibit A, and attached legal description.
D. This proposal is submitted for the following reason: to eliminate
island of unincorporated land within City boundaries.
E. Municipal services which shall be required include: Police and
Fire protection, sewer and street maintenance, recreation services.
Section 2. This resolution is submitted and shall be accompanied by
a plan for services prepared by the affected city pursuant to Section 35102 of
the California Government Codes.
Section 3. The Clerk of the City Council of the City of San Rafael
is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution
with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Marin.

ANNEXATION
to the City of San Rafael
in the County of Marin
DESCRIPTION
LAFCO No.
All that real property situate in the County of Marin, State of California,
as conveyed jointly by and to the County Service Area No. 23, and to the
Marin County Open Space District and to the City of San Rafael by grant deed
recorded January 11, 1980, in Book 3665 at Page 592 of Marin County Records
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southwesterly boundary line of the Rancho Sari
Pedro Santa Margarita y Las Gallinas, said point being on the existing
Corporate Limits line of the City of San Rafael at the southwesterly terminus
of that certain course described as having a bearing of South 36°00' West
by Ordinance No. 706 (Nunes Ranch Annexation) adopted May 2, 1960, by the
City Council of the City of San Rafael and running thence along said Rancho
line North 45°34'21" West,1923.96 feet; thence leaving said Rancho line and
along the common boundary between the Lands of C.S.A. No. 23 and the Lands of
Luiz the following courses; North 15048'09" East, 312.40 feet; North 27`34'09"
East, 532.76 feet; North 53011'09" East,289.33 feet; North 44010'04" East,
118.39 feet; and North 32002104" East, 145.79 feet to the common point of
the Lands of C.S.A. 23 and the Lands of Luiz and the Lands of Melone; thence
along the common boundary between the Lands of C.S.A. 23 and the Lands of
Melone the following courses; South 30041'56" East, 617.62 feet; South
70003147" East, 192.36 feet; and North 82°23'06",1848.18 feet to the existing
Limits line of the City of San Rafael at the Westerly terminus of that certain
course described as having a bearing of North 73032'30" West by aforementioned
Ordinance No. 706; thence along said existing Limits line South 37057'34"
West,2726.60 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 80.933 acres, more or less.
