A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION
FOR THE REZONING OF AP 165-141-30 PROPERTY AT
THE END OF SANTIAGO WAY FROM P -C (PLANNED
COMMUNITY) DISTRICT TO R -1-B-1 (SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL, MINIMUM BUILDING SITE AREA 7,500
SQUARE FEET) DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1981, an application for rezoning
of the subject property from P -C (Planned Community) District to
R -1-B-1 (Single Family Residential, Minimum Building Site Area
7,500 Square Feet) District was submitted to the Planning
Department; and
WHEREAS, the request for the rezoning was submitted
with a request for a three lot subdivision of the property
(S81-10); and
WHEREAS, with the subdivision application a geo-
technical report was submitted which indicated that the property
is stable and competent for the proposed development; and
WHEREAS, incorporated into the project were restrictions
which will preserve the visual backdrop, and
WHEREAS, a condition of approval of the subdivision
action required that sewer hookups will have to be available
before recordation of the subdivision map, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on August 25, 1981,
determined that the proposed subdivision of the property and
rezoning from P -C to R -1-B-1 would not have a significant
adverse effect on the environment and certified a Negative
Declaration for the subdivision and recommended certification
of a Negative Declaration for the rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael
City Council certifies a Negative Declaration for the rezoning
of the subject property from P -C to R -1-B-1.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday-, the 21st day of September, 1981, by the following
