A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A
CONTRACT, LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf of
the City of San Rafael, a contract, lease or agreement with
The County of Marin, to amend our Cooperation Agreement
concerning the Community Development Block Grant Program.
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said

TO THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO
NOVEMBER 24, 1981, FOR URBAN COUNTY C,UAL-EFICI\TI
IN THE COM1%1UNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 19th clay of Janua
19E2, by and between San Rafael , hereinafter referred to as "City"
and County of Mar.'_n, hereinafter referred to as "County",
WITNESSETH:
WHERE_=1S, San Rafael and the County and nine other cities
within the County, in order to qualify as an "Urban County" under the Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, did adopt an original
Cooperation Agreement, which became effective December 1, 1981; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide specific assurances to induce the
federal government to provide the funding allowed for under said Act, as
amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following language is added to
the existing agreement as paragraph 10 thereof;
"10. The County and all cooperating cities shall take all required
-actions to co^ply with the ^_•rov4.SjonS of the National Environ-
mental Policy Act of 1969, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of
1964, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, Executive
Order 11988, Section 109 of the Hcusing and Community Development
Act of 1974, and other applicable laws."
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed the above instrument on
the day and year first above written.
