CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON HOUSING ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized updating of the City's
Housing Element to respond to City housing needs and to
conform to current State housing guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after careful consideration,
appointed a fifteen member Citizens' Advisory Committee
(CAC) to assist in preparation of a draft Housing Element;
and
WHEREAS, the CAC sponsored a widely advertised community-
wide housing workshop, and held extensive open public
meetings to review conclusions of the workshop; and
WHEREAS, the CAC met its deadline for submitting a Draft
Housing Element to the Planning Commission in May, 1981;
and
WHEREAS, CAC members provided valuable testimony during
Planning Commission and City Council review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael commends and thanks the CAC for their
diligent efforts and assistance in preparation of the
City's 1981 Housing Element. A
