RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DESIGNATING NOVEMBER 16-21 1981 AS FINE -FREE WEEK FOR THE
SAN RAFAEL PUBLIC LIBRARY
WHEREAS, all the public libraries in Marin have participated
in a county -wide Fine -Free Week for the past two years; and,
WHEREAS, fine -free weeks have proven to be a cost/effective
means of retrieving long -overdue books; and,
WHEREAS, the directors of the other public libraries in
Marin County are requesting that their governing bodies designate
the week of November 16-21, 1981 as Fine -Free Week,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael designates the week of November 16-21, 1981
as Fine -Free Week for the San Rafael Public Library.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday the 5th day of October,
1981 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Jensen, Miskimen, Nixon & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
