RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
RECOMMENDING THAT THE MARIN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
ADOPT RESOLUTION REQUIRED UNDER SB215
WHEREAS, The San Rafael City Council adopted Resolution
No. 6084 supporting the passage of SB215; and
WHEREAS, this resolution was forwarded to Assemblyman
Filante and Senator Keene; and
WHEREAS, after proper hearings SB215 was passed by both
the State Legislature and Senate; and
WHEREAS, the Governor of California signed SB215 into
law; and
WHEREAS, one provision in SB215 requires that County Boards
of Supervisors representing two-thirds of the state's population
pass resolutions calling for the gas tax increase within the next
60 days;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the San Rafael City
Council urges and requests the Marin County Board of Supervisors
to pass a resolution calling for the two cent gas tax increase and
forward same to the appropriate state officials in Sacramento.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 5th day of October, 1981, by the
following vote, to wit:
