A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL UPHOLDING THE
PLANNING COMMISSION DENIAL OF A SIGN ADJUSTMENT
TO ALLOW A 66 SQ.FT. SIGN FOR SOFABED CONSPIRACY
AT 811 FRANCISCO BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, application was made for a 70 square foot
wall sign facing Francisco Boulevard and a 66 square foot wall sign
mounted on the side wall facing the parking lot;
WHEREAS, the building qualities for 70 square foot of
signage based upon the Francisco frontage and a sign adjustment
for additional area and alternative location would be required to
allow a sign facing the parking lot;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on November 10, 1981
approved the 70 square foot wall sign but denied the 66 square foot
sign on the side of the building because findings pursuant to
14.12.060 of the Municipal Code (sign adjustments) could not be
made;
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 7, 1981 concurred
with the findings of the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael uphold the Planning Commission denial
of the 66 square foot sign facing the parking lot and deny the
appeal.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the 7th day of December, 1981, by the following
vote, to wit:
