RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ENDORSING THE DRAFT
1981 MARIN COUNTYWIDE PLAN
WHEREAS, the County of Marin has undertaken a comprehen-
sive revision of the 1973 Countywide Plan during the past two
years; and
WHEREAS, the Countywide Plan Advisory Committee, com-
prised of representatives of all cities and the county, has
interacted with County planning staff and consultants during
that two year period; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Breiner, with the assistance of
the Planning and Public Works Departments, has represented the
City of San Rafael on the Countywide Plan Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, very significant changes have been made to
earlier drafts of the Countywide Plan as a result of the City of
San Rafael's participation in the revision process; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Planning Commission has reviewed
the draft Countywide plan at its meeting on November 24, 1981,
and forwarded a favorable recommendation to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Rafael has received the
Planning Commission's recommendation and finds that the draft
Countywide Plan as currently proposed is generally consistent with
the General Plan and related policies of the City of San Rafael;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael hereby:
1) endorses the draft 1981 Marin Countywide Plan and
directs that a copy of this resolution be forwarded
to the Marin County Board of Supervisors;and
2) requests notification by the County of pertinent
dates in the hearing process;and
3) directs City staff to closely monitor the County
review of the Countywide Plan to insure that the
City's best interests are protected in the final
adopted version.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the 7th day of December, 1981, by the following
vote, to wit:
