A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A
CONTRACT, LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael a contract, lease or agreement with
Rev. Reuben J. Segueira_ Pastor of Trinity Community Church,
re Use of San Rafael Hill for Easter Sunrise Services April 6, 1980
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on Monday the fourth day of February,
1980 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Jensen, Nixon & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Miskimen

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into on this fourth day of February ,
1980, between the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL (hereinafter called "City") and the
TRINITY COMMUNITY CHURCH (hereinafter called "Church");

WHEREAS, to provide an inspirational environment for Easter
sunrise services and to provide a community service for those citizens
desiring to attend said services, City agrees to permit use of that area
generally known as San Rafael Hill by Church for the purposes of conducting
inter -denominational Easter sunrise services on the morning of Easter Day,
April 6, 1980; and
WHEREAS, in consideration of City's permission to use public
land for public, inter -denominational Easter sunrise services, Church
hereby agrees to the following:
1. To limit use of said property for the reasonable purposes
attendant to preparing for and conducting of Easter sunrise services.
2. To indemnify and hold harmless City and its employees,
officials, and agents from liability and against all demands, claims,
actions, losses and expenses which may accrue or arise as a result of said
religious services.
3. To furnish, prior to execution of this Agreement, evidence
in the form of a Certificate of Insurance of Church for Comprehensive
General Liability in an amount to be determined by the office of the City
Attorney; or, in the alternative, a Certificate of Insurance reflecting
that City is named as an additional insured for the purposes of indemnifi-
cation from liability resulting from the Easter Day ceremonies on
April 6, 1980.
