A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ACCEPTING
GRANT OF STREET OR HIGHWAY EASEMENT
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SAID
EASEMENT, WEST FRANCISCO BOULEVARD
EXTENSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, public interest, convenience and welfare require that
the easement hereinafter mentioned be accepted and used for the benefit
of the public of the City of San Rafael in conjunction with City's West
Francisco Boulevard Extension Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, California, that that certain grant of "Street or
Highway Easement" from Northwestern Pacific Railroad Company, be, and
the same is hereby, accepted and the Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to cause said conveyance to be duly recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of the County of Marin, State of California, forth-
with upon the adoption of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said City Council of the City of San
Rafael that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute said
"Street or Highway Easement" with Northwestern Pacific Railroad Company
only and upon acquisition by City of all necessary rights of way required
as part of the City's West Francisco Boulevard Extension Project. A
copy of said easement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and incor-
porated herein by reference.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City held on the 4th day of February, 1980, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Nixon and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Jensen & Miskimen
