RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR LAW
ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES TO THE
OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING
WHEREAS the City of San Rafael desires to undertake a
certain project designated Youth Services Bureau to be funded in
part from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control
and Safe Streets Act of 1973, PL 90-351, as amended, (hereafter
referred to as the Crime Control Act) administered by the Office
of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the
City of San Rafael is authorized, on its behalf, to submit the
attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to
OCJP and the Mayor is authorized to execute on behalf of the
City of San Rafael the attached Grant Award for law enforcement
purposes, including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act
and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as
required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement
expenditures controlled by this body,

This grant award consists of this title page, the application for the grant which is
attached hereto as Attachment A and made a part hereof, arid the Standard Grant Award
Conditions which are attached hereto as Attachment G and rude a part hereof.
The Subgrantee hereby signifies its acceptance of this grant award and agrees to
administer.the grant project in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth
in or incorporated by reference in this grant award and the applicable provisions of
the Crime Control Act identified above.
The Subgrantee certifies that federal and state funds received a:ill not be used to
replace local funds that would, in the absence of such federal and state aid, be made
available for the activity being supported under this agreement.
