RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
EXCLUDING AP 10-011-47 AND 49 (LANDS OF DICKENS) FROM
THE NEIGHBORHOOD 13/14 NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING AREA
WHEREAS, on May 19, 1980, the City Council directed staff to
evaluate whether or not it is appropriate that AP 10-011-47 and 49 remain
within the Neighborhood 13/14 neighborhood planning area; and
WHEREAS, while the subject property is included in the General
Plan designation for Neighborhood 13, it is recognized that it is the
intent of the General Plan that these boundaries are not to be interpreted
as being precise, but rather that they are a general representation of a
geographic area within which there is community identity on the part of
the residents; and
WHEREAS, the subject property constitutes a portion of the Los
Ranchitos slope and the backdrop to the Los Ranchitos neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, reasonable and logical access to the subject property
is taken through Los Ranchitos via Oakview Drive; and
WHEREAS, as defined in the San Rafael General Plan the subject
property constitutes a portion of the visual backdrop for the Los
Ranchitos area and, further, is not visible from any portion of the Sun
Valley; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the aforementioned
information at their meeting of June 2, 1980;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that AP 10-011-47 and 49 be
excluded from the Neighborhood 13/14 neighborhood planning area.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City held on the second day of June 1980, by the
following vote, to wit:
