HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5933RESOLUTION N0. 5933 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS 5738, 5857 AND 5873 AND REPLACING THEM WITH THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS WHICH PERTAIN TO COMPENSATION FOR PART-TIME, TEMPORARY, INTERMITTENT AND SEASONAL WORKERS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Rafael that the wages herein established are on an hourly basis and that em- ployees who work part-time shall be paid for time actually worked. Planning. The following part-time position is hereby created: Title Code Enforcement Assistant 8.00 Flat RESOLUTION NO. 5933 Section 6. Full-time Equivalents. Following are part-time positions which are equivalent to full- time positions in duties performed. They are compensated based upon the hourly wage rate for the corresponding step of the full-time equivalent position. When considering a step increase for a part-time employee, he/ she must have at least one year of satisfactory service and have worked at least 700 hours during the preceding year. If said employee does not qualify for a step increase after the first year of service, he/she will be considered for that increase upon completion of the minimum 700 hour requirement. This provision applies to all positions listed in this resolu- tion except Weed Abatement Aide, Street Maintenance Aide, Park Maintenance Aide, Islands/Parkway Maintenance Aide, and Water Truck Driver. In the future, any part-time position class for which there is a full-time equivalent, but which is not listed on the current list below, will be compensated in like manner, i.e., Steps A and D of full-time posi- tion become A and C of part-time position and average of these two becomes Step B.
