HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5944RESOLUTION NO. 5944 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT, LEASE OR AGREEMENT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows: The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of San Rafael, a contract, lease or agreement with Park Areas and Facilities - Approval of Fee Schedule a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof. I, JEANNE M. Fees are for a tm)-hour minimum. 2. Non-profit resident organizations must use Park for a non -fundraising event to be eligible for Group II. If it is a fund- raiser, the classification is Group III. 3. To be considered a San Rafael resident, individuals must reside within City limits. For organizations or groups, San Rafael residency is establisher] by having a San Rafael mailing address, as well as proof that 501, of their members live within the San Rafael City limits. 4. Any governmental tax -supported agency located in Marin which does not fall under Groups I or II, qualifies as Group III. 5. All events for business or commercial use, for profit or gain, qualify as Group IV. Arxirmrrwar. 17=.q 1. An additional $10.00/11r will be charged for the use of lights. 2. Groups 2, 3, 4, will be required to deposit with the Recreation Department a $100.00 damage and cleaning deposit for the use of Albert Park, Large Group Picnics and weddings, and Swimming Pool. APPLICATION PROCEDURES 1. Reservations will be accepted 6 months in advance. All fees land ABC permit when required) are due 10 days prior to event. 2. Hours of use stated on the application permit must include set-up time as well as clean-up time. 3. Application permits are non -transferable. 4. All applicants must comply with the state alcoholic beverage policy if alcoholic beverages are to be sold. 5. Reservations for use of the Parks by youth groups must be completed by an adult sponsor. 6. At the discretion of the Park Director, security or police officers may be required. 7. The applicant whose signature appears on the registration form should arrive at the starting time designated and should plan to be present until the end of the event. If the applicant connot be present, he should designate an individual and place that name on the application. S. All Parks must be left in the same condition as before the event started. If additional clean-up is required, all or a portion of the deposit will be retained and the user will be charged for all extra costs required. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONSS 1. Neither birdseed nor rice is allowed to be thrown at weddings. 2. Fifty percent of deposit will be retained if event is cancelled ten days or more before the event. If the event is cancelled less than ten days before an event, all monies paid will be retained. 3. Reservations may be revoked at any time wherever the use of Park or facilities may interfere with Department program activities or where there has been a violation of approved regulations.
