RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL ESTABLISHING A CARPOOL PARKING
PROGRAM AND WAIVING PARKING METER FEE AND
TIME LIMIT RESTRICTION AT THE FIFTH AVENUE
AND "C" STREET PARKING STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council at a meeting on July 21,
1980, approved the designation of six parking meters in the lower level
of the Fifth Avenue and "C" Street Parking Structure as Carpool Parking;
and
WHEREAS, the attached Program Description and Procedures Report
prepared by City staff pursuant to this action describes how the program
will function; and
WHEREAS, Section 5.60.055 of the San Rafael Municipal Code
provides that the City may allow "temporary utilization of a parking
meter space without the deposit of a coin or for a period of time longer
than the maximum time limit .".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby waives the parking meter fee and time limit
restriction for the six parking meters described above when they are
occupied by carpool vehicles meeting the requirements of the attached
Program Description and Procedures Report.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City held on the 2nd day of September, 1980, by the following
vote, to wit:
