George Hasler
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of December, 1978, BATTALION CHIEF GEORGE
HASLER retired as a member of the Fire Department after
having rendered twenty-three and one-half years of able,
dedicated service to the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, CHIEF HASLER, by virtue of his expertise as a professional
and dedicated officer made numerous contributions to the
advancement of the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, CHIEF HASLER'S dedication to the Department was reflective
in his guidance during the development of the Fire Department
from its volunteer days to its present status as a fully
paid professional department encompassing seven stations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council wishes CHIEF
HASLER good luck in his retirement and extends him sincere
appreciation for his contributions to the betterment of the
community's fire protection system.
