A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ACCEPTING
A GIFT OF $2500.00 FROM THE FRIENDS OF
THE SAN RAFAEL PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR THE
PURCHASE OF BOUKS.
WHEREAS, the Friends of the San Rafael Public Library was established to
maintain and increase the standards of excellence of the San Rafael Public
Library, and,
WHEREAS, the Friends have raised $2500.00 through a special book sale,
and,
WHEREAS, the Friends wish to present a gift of $2500.00 to the Library
to supplement the book budget for the purchase of books for special collections;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael accept the
gift from the Friends of San Rafael Public Library for the purchase of books.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California,
hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on the 5th day
of March, 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
