RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER
VACATION OF PUBLIC WALKWAY
(Westerly of Knight Dr., opposite Fernwood Way)
WHEREAS, it appears that an 8 ft. wide walkway westerly of
Knight Drive opposite Fernwood Way hereinafter described is unnecessary
for present or prospective public purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of the STREET VACATION ACT of
1941 of the State of California;
2. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby
declares its intention to vacate said 8 ft. wide walkway westerly of
Knight Drive opposite Fernwood Way which is hereinafter described;
3. That the 2nd day of April, 1979, at 8:00 P.M., in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, San Rafael, California, is hereby fixed
as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting
to the said proposed vacation.
4. That the Department of Public Works of the City of San
Rafael shall post conspicuously notices of street vacation along the
lines of said public walkway proposed to be vacated, which notices
shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart but at
least three (3) notices shall be posted as to said walkway proposed
to be vacated. The said notice shall state time and place of hearing
as hereinabove provided, and the adoption of the within Resolution of
Intention.
5. That said walkway proposed to be vacated is described on
Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference as though set forth in full.
6. That a map or plan showing said walkway proposed to be
vacated is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael at the City Hall, San Rafael, California.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 5th day of March, 1979, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None

DESCRIPTION OF 8 FT. WIDE PEDESTRIAN
WALKWAY TO BE VACATED
County of Marin - State of California: - City of San Rafael
A walkway, 8 feet wide, lying between Lots 12 and 13, Map of
Glenwood No. 1, recorded November 10, 1955 in Volume 8 of
Maps at page 103, Marin County Records; bounded on the East
by Knight Drive and on the West by the Southwesterly line
of the 70' Drainage Easement as shown on said Map.
