RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SIGN AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AND THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.
WHEREAS, The City of San Rafael desires to participate
in the California Witness Protection Program administered by the
California Department of Justice; and
WHEREAS, said program has been submitted and approved
for funding to the California Department of Justice to aid the
San Rafael Department in protecting a witness involved in several
criminal investigations; and
WHEREAS, said program is providing such specialty services
that is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of
the City of San Rafael is authorized and directed, on its behalf
to participate in said program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael agrees
to comply with all requirments for participation in said program as
specified in the program application.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the
Council of said City held on the SECOND day of APRIL, 1979,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Nixon and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
