HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5650RESOLUTION NO. 5650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ORDERING VACATION OF PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY OFF KNIGHT DRIVE IN GLENWOOD NO. 1, SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael, on the 5th day of March, 1979, passed and adopted Resolution No. 5625, entitled, "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF PUBLIC WALK- WAY (WESTERLY OF KNIGHT DRIVE, OPPOSITE FERNWOOD WAY)", and law, and WHEREAS, notice was published and posted as required by WHEREAS, a hearing was had this day as required by law, and said Resolution No. 5625, at which hearing the Council of the City of San Rafael heard evidence offered by all persons interested in or objecting to the vacation hereinafter ordered, and WHEREAS, it appears from the evidence offered and from all of the evidence submitted, and the said Council finds, that the public walkway herein described is unnecessary for present or prospective public access purposes, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said public walkway, located in the City of San Rafael, California, hereinafter more particularly described, is unnecessary for present or prospective public access purposes and is hereby vacated. The public walkway proposed to be vacated is located in the City of San Rafael, State of California, designated as an eight (8) foot -wide walkway, and is more particularly described as follows: A walkway, 8 feet wide, lying between Lots 12 and 13, Map of Glenwood No. 1, recorded November 10, 1955 in Volume 8 of Maps at page 103, Marin County Records; bounded on the East by Knight Drive and on the West by the Southwesterly line of the 70' Drainage Ease- ment as shown on said Map. -1- I, JEANNE M.
