A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING THE FINAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1978 - JUNE 30, 1979, AS APPROVED IN
RESOLUTIONS 5521 and 5662, AND ESTABLISHING A RETIREMENT TRUST FUND
WHEREAS, The City Manager has submitted to the City Council
of the City of San Rafael an amendment to the final budget for the
fiscal year July 1, 1978 - June 30, 1979; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of San Rafael
has an unfunded retirement obligation to the County of Marin Retire-
ment System; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council to partially
fund this obligation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael that Resolution 5521 and 5662 are hereby
amended to provide an additional $1,000,000 appropriation
(Account 01-210126) for the unfunded retirement obligation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a retirement trust fund should
be established from which the unfunded retirement liability will
be paid as required.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of
the City Council of said City held on MONDAY the 21st
day of MAY , 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
