RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL REGARDING TERMINATION OF HERBERT G. HOTCHNER,
COMMUNITY PROJECTS COORDINATOR
WHEREAS, on August 21, 1978, the City Council of San Rafael
and Herbert G. Hotchner entered into an agreement for the position of
Community Projects Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, it is the City Council's finding that the duties of
the Community Projects Coordinator should be performed by personnel in
the Planning Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council June 1979 budget hearings added
the positions of Senior Planner and Associate Planner to handle current
and advance planning projects and deleted the position of Community
Projects Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, the subject contract provides for termination of
Herbert G. Hotchner without cause and payment of severance remuneration.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council terminates
Herbert G. Hotchner without cause and authorizes and directs the
payment of six months' severance pay effective July 15, 1979, pursuant
to said contract.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the Council of said
city held on the 2nd day of July, 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
