RESOLUTION DENYING TENTATIVE MAP SUBDIVISION NO. S79-28
(THREE -LOT SUBDIVISION - SANTIAGO WAY)
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council on November 13, 1979,
reviewed the request for Tentative Map Subdivision No. S79-28, filed
August 27, 1979 by James A. Otterlee, owner, for a three -lot subdivision
at end of Santiago Way; and
WHEREAS, all governmental and utility agencies affected by
the development of this land have been notified and given the opportunity
to respond thereto; and
WHEREAS, the map has been reviewed by the Planning Department
Staff and found not to be in conformance with the subdivision regulations
in all respects; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed
subdivision and submitted its comments and recommendations to the City
Council for consideration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Tentative Map Subdivision
No. S79-28 be denied because:
1. The design or improvement of the proposed subdivision is
not consistent with applicable General and Specific Plans, in that the
proposed ridgeline development is contrary to Policies 6 through 8 of
the Conservation and Open Space Element;
2. The site is not physically suitable for the proposed den-
sity of development in that there is insufficient screening provided on
the site for the development from the surrounding residences.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Menem the 19th
