A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as
follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
GALLINAS VILLAGE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT, MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING RE PARTICIPATION IN CITY RECREATION PROGRAMS
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a
part hereof.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI,-City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of
the City Council of said City held on Monday
the sixteenth day of January 1978 by the following
vote, to wit:

JEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDII
This Memorandum of Understanding, made and entered into this
1st day of March, 1978, by and between the City of San Rafael,
hereinafter referred to as "City" and the Gallinas Village
Community Service District, hereinafter referred to as "Gallinas
C.S.D.".

WHEREAS, City and Gallinas C.S.D. are mutually agreeable to a
contractual agreement allowing Gallinas C.S.D. residents to
participate in City recreation programs.
WITNESSETH
For and in consideration of mutual promises, covenants and condi-
tions hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. C.S.D. will pay the City, an annual sum of $420.00
as a waiver agreement for non -residency fees incurred
by C.S.D. residents who wish to partake in recreation
fee classes, sports leagues, trips and swim programs.
2. The C.S.D. is to provide secretarial assistance by
handling registration and collecting of fees from
C.S.D. residents. All material is to be submitted
to the Recreation Department prior to all deadlines.
3. It would further be agreed that C.S.D. residents who
register for such programs would be on the same
registration arrangement as the residents of the City
of San Rafael, that being "first come, first served".

4. The C.S.D. would provide, on trips, one adult staff
person for each group of youth in accordance with the
ratio guidelines established by the San Rafael Rec-
reation Department.
5. The C.S.D. agrees to pay the cost for any additional
recreation program fliers needed for their area.
6. Program will extend for a 1 year period. At the end
of the year a complete evaluation will be conducted to
determine if the agreement should be continued or
changed.
7. Either party may terminate this Memorandum of Under-
standing by giving the other party sixty (60) days
written notice.
8. The parties hereto agree that this Memorandum of
Understanding will commence on March 1, 1978.
