RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ORGANIZATIONS DESIRING TO PROVIDE BINGO PLAYING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael, on
January 3, 1978, passed Ordinance No. 1281 establishing rules and
providing authority for organizations desiring to furnish bingo
playing; and
WHEREAS, there are three distinct types of bingo playing
that will be authorized under said Bingo Ordinance, namely: (a) Or-
ganizations that conduct bingo on a regular basis and where prizes per
game exceed the sum of $5.00; (b) Organizations that conduct bingo
primarily for amusement and the prize per game is less than $5.00; and
(c) Organizations that conduct bingo for a period of one to three days,
periodically.
WHEREAS, Section 8.08.070 of said Ordinance enables the
San Rafael City Council to establish by Resolution fees for organiza-
tions desiring to provide bingo playing; and
WHEREAS, said Section provides that said fees shall not
exceed $50.00; and
WHEREAS, organizations now desire to secure licenses to per-
mit them to play bingo;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of San Rafael that, pursuant to Section 8.06.070 of Ordinance
No. 1281, the fees for organizations shall be as follows:
(1) $50.00 per annum for organizations that conduct bingo
on a regular basis and the prizes per game exceed $5.00;
(2) $25.00 per annum for organizations which conduct bingo
primarily for pleasure and the prize per game does not exceed the
sum of $5.00, and for special licenses for organizations that conduct
bingo for a period not to exceed three days on a periodic basis.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the sixth day of February 1978, by the
following vote, to wit:
