A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE COUNTY
ROAD FUND OF THE COUNTY OF MARIN PURSUANT TO SECTION
2106, et seq., OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
WHEREAS, the County of Marin and Cities within the County
have heretofore entered into an "Agreement for Improvement of Urban
Thoroughfare System", dated July 1, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban Thoroughfare Committee re-
viewed and approved allocations of Urban Thoroughfare Funds for
the following projects:

1. Widen Irwin Street 10 feet on $ 29,625
west side
2. Interconnect traffic signals on 15,000
Second and Third between Irwin
and E Streets
3. Six intersection reconstructions 39,000
along Third Street between Irwin
and E Streets
Total $ 83,625
WHEREAS, the Committee also reviewed and approved alloca-
tions of a portion of Marin County's share of Rule 20 money for
undergrounding of utilities totaling $74,000 for San Rafael's Fran-
cisco Boulevard East Project from Irwin Street to Bellam Boulevard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael
does request the County of Marin to allocate and authorize to be
paid to the City of San Rafael upon completion of said projects
fifty percent (50%) of the cost of the project or the sum of
$157,625, whichever is the lesser sum; this amount consisting of
$83,625 from the 1978-79 Urban Thoroughfare allocation, and the
remainder consisting of $74,000 from Marin County's share of Rule
20 funds for undergrounding of utilities over a three year period
as follows: $14,000 from 1977-78 and 1978-79 funds, and $60,000 from
1979-80 funds.

California, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 6th day of March 1978,
by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
