WHEREAS, PATRICIA FORTINI MEYER served actively on the
Citizens Committee supporting the successful
passage of a $250,000 bond issue for acquisi-
tion of the Robert Dollar Estate; and
WHEREAS, subsequently PATRICIA FORTINI MEYER has given
unselfishly of her time and talents in serving
as an original member of the Cultural Affairs
Commission (April 1975 - April 1978); and
WHEREAS, COMMISSIONER MEYER provided extensive know-
ledge and expertise in the development of fine
arts programs while serving on numerous sub-
committees dedicated to developing plans and
proposals for use of Falkirk as a Community
Cultural Center; and
WHEREAS, COMMISSIONER MEYER assisted in the development
of the City's Historic Preservation Ordinance
and the Survey Inventory of historical/archi-
tecturally significant structures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council hereby extends PATRICIA FORTINI MEYER
sincere appreciation in recognition of the
unselfish and generous service rendered to
benefit the arts and provide a cultural center
for citizens of San Rafael and Ma in County.
