HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5475RESOLUTION NO. 5475 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF PART OF PUBLIC STREET WHEREAS, it appears that the part of San Pedro Avenue here- inafter described is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of the STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941 of the State of California; 2. That the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby declares its intention to vacate the part of San Pedro Avenue which is hereinafter described; 3. That the 17th day of Jule, 1978, at 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, San Rafael, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the said proposed vacation. 4. That the Department of Public Works of the City of San Rafael shall post conspicuously notices of street vacation along the lines of the part of said public street proposed to be vacated, which notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart but at least three (3) notices shall be posted as to said part of the street proposed to be vacated. The said notice shall state time and place of hearing as hereinabove provided, and the adoption of the within Resolution of Intention. 5. That said part of the street proposed to be vacated is described on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as though set forth in full. 6. That a map or plan showing said part of street proposed to be vacated is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of San Rafael at the City Hall, San Rafael, California. 1. �1 i Me. 1=Ji I, JEANNE M. LEONC NI, City Clerk EXHIBIT - A COI.24ENCING at the easterly corner of Lot 18 in Block 28, as said lot and block, are shown on the Map entitled "Map of Subdivi- sion 'A' of Golf Links Tract", filed January 14, 1908, in Map Book 2, Page 107, in the Office of the Recorder of Marin County; thence along the southeasterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of said Lot 18 S. 29010111" E., 50.00 feet to the southeast- erly line of San Pedro Avenue, as said Avenue is shown on said Map; thence along last said line S. 60°49'49" W., 156.63 feet; thence S. 7501050" W., 16.24 feet; thence i7. 23°55103" W., 11.74 feet; thence S. 66°04157" W., 31.63 feet; thence along a tangent curve to the right with a radius of 70.00 feet, through an angle of 51°31139", an arc length of 62.95 feet to -the northwesterly line of said San Pedro Avenue; thence along last said line N. 60049149" E., 254.93 feet to the point of commencement. CONTAINING 0.245 of an acre, more or less. The bearings and distances used in the above description are on the California Coordindate System, Zone 3. Multiply the above distances by 1.0000607 to obtain ground level distances.
