RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGES.IN WORK TO BE MADE BY THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, SMITH
RANCH ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1, CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, MARIN
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
Marin.County, California, as follows:
The Director of Public Works of the City of San Rafael,
without further authorization of the City Council, is hereby authorized
to order changes in the work to be done in Smith Ranch Assessment Dis-
trict No. 1, City of San Rafael, Marin County, California, under the
following conditions:
To correct clerical and technical errors in the plans;
To modify the design of the project wherever good
engineering practice indicates that the modification
should be made;
To adjust the design of the project to utility
locations, soil conditions, and other field condi-
tions which were unknown or uncertain at the time
the plans were prepared.
However, the Director of Public Works of the City of San Rafael
shall not be authorized to approve change orders resulting in the in-
crease in construction costs aggregating more than the amount of the
contingencies provided for in the Amended Engineer's Report hereto-
fore approved by this City Council.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of San Rafael, Marin
County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 5th day.
of June, 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: Councilmembers None
ABSENT: Councilmembers Nixon
