RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF BONDS, SMITH RANCH ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 1, CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael, Marin
County, California, has received a written proposal from Stone &
Youngberg offering to purchase improvement bonds to be issued by
the City of San Rafael to represent unpaid assessments levied pursuant
to Resolution of Intention No. 5194, adopted by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael on October 4, 1976, as later amended, for payment
of the improvements and all of the incidental expenses in connection
therewith in said assessment district; and
WHEREAS, said written proposal from Stone & Youngberg, dated
April 17, 1978, has been amended by letter dated May 30, 1978,
increasing the amount of said commitment; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this City Council that the public
interest and convenience will be served by accepting the offer of the
said Stone & Youngberg dated April 17, 1978, as amended by letter
dated May 30, 1978, and will also be served by selling the said
bonds at the price therein named;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the proposal of
Stone & Youngberg dated April 17, 1978, as amended by letter dated
May 30, 1978, be, and the same is hereby accepted, and that the bonds
be, and they are hereby ordered sold to Stone & Youngberg in the amount
and subject to the terms and conditions stated in the bid of the
said Stone & Youngberg of April 17, 1978, as amended by letter dated
May 30, 1978; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the interest rate of said. bonds
be, and the same is hereby, fixed at the rate stated in said bid, and
that said bonds shall be dated July 3, 1978, and shall bear interest
from said date.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of San Rafael, Marin
County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 5th day
of June, 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Jensen, Mi skimen, Mul roan and Mayor Betti ni
NOES: Councilmembers None
ABSENT: Councilmembers Nixon
