HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 5492RESOLUTION NO. 5492 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING WHEREAS the City of San Rafael desires to undertake a certain project designated Crime Prevention Unit to be funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1973, PL 90-351, as amended, (hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act) administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of San Rafael is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of San Rafael the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime Control Act and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body. 1, JEANNE M.
