RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
SETTING NEW BAIL SCHEDULE FOR CERTAIN VEHICLE AND MUNICIPAL CODE
ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1103, the City Council
of the City of San Rafael determined to set bail for meter and over-
time parking violations by Resolution and subsequent ratification by
the Judicial Counsel of the Municipal Court of the Central Judicial
District, County of Marin; and
WHEREAS, a schedule was determined, by Resolution No. 5500,
to require adjustment because of new and pressing financial needs of
the City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 5500 incorrectly provided that
new bail schedules must be set by Ordinance duly passed by the
San Rafael City Council, rather than by simple Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Resolution is to set said bail
schedule in conformance with Ordinance No. 1103; and
WHEREAS, said bail schedule shall read and provide as follows:
ORDINANCE VIOLATION
Expired meter cited ALONE $ 5.00
Overtime parking cited ALONE 5.00
Meter violation with OVERTIME PARKING 8.00
In loading zone 10.00
All night parking 5.00
Improper parking 10.00
Improperly parked in space 10.00
Parked on street for sale 10.00
In taxi, restricted or medical patient zones 10.00
In green, red or end zones 10.00
Failure to turn wheels to curb 15.00
Tow away zone 10.00

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, that the bail schedule, as set forth above, is
hereby approved by the City Council of the City of San Rafael and has
been approved and ratified by the Judges of the Municipal Court, County
of Marin.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City held on the 17th day of duly 1978, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Jensen
