A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CERTAIN SERVICES OF
THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE MARIN
ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has a signed Memorandum of Understanding
with the Marin Association of Public Employees; and
WHEREAS, this Memorandum of Understanding called for a general salary
increase as well as a supplemental payment of $10.00 as a contribution to the
employees' insurance package; and
WHEREAS, the passage of Proposition 13 and subsequent legislation has
negated the ability of the City of San Rafael to pay the general salary increase;
and
WHEREAS, the legislation does permit honoring the contract as it applies
to fringe benefits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1, 1978 the City of
San Rafael shall contribute an additional $10.00 per employee for the coverage
of health, life and disability insurance to non -safety employees.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 17th day of July,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Mi.skimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
