A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ELIMINATE CERTAIN

WHEREAS, Proposition 13 has changed the methods whereby property
taxes are distributed to San Rafael;
WHEREAS, the City Council will not be setting a property tax
for each of the City's operating funds;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of San Rafael to
streamline its accounting records;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Rafael that the Finance Director is directed to combine all of the
operating departments into the General Fund and to eliminate the following
funds:
Library Fund, Retirement Fund, Falkirk Fund, and the Stores Fund.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a special meeting of the Council of said City on Thursday, the
third day of August, 1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
