RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETEP11INING THAT POLICE AND
FIRE PROTECTION PROGRAMS ARE AT THE SAME LEVEL AND
WILL BE MAINTAINED AT THE SAME OR HIGHER LEVEL THAN
PROVIDED IN THE SCHOOL YEAR 1977-78
WHEREAS, the health and safety of the citizens of San
Rafael are of paramount importance to the Council.
WHEREAS, increased effectiveness in the protection of
our citizens against injury of life and property is a primary
concern to the Council and City Management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of San Rafael, California:
THAT the level of Fire and Police Protection Programs
will equal or exceed the levels that were in force in the City
of San Rafael during the fiscal year of 1977-78.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a special meeting of
the City Council of said City on Thursday, the third day of
August il 1978 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Gettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
