RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE SAN RAFAEL FIRE DEPARTMENT TO
RESPOND TO EMERGENCY INCIDENTS WITHIN
THE COUNTY OF MARIN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael recognizing
that the most effective fire protection for the residents of the City of San
Rafael can be accomplished through mutual aid and cooperation between the Fire
Department of San Rafael and the Fire Departments of other municipalities and
fire protection districts within the County of Marin; and
WHEREAS, other municipalities and fire protection districts within
the County of Marin have enacted Resolutions providing for the dispatch of
their personnel and equipment for the benefit of supressing fires or assistance
of other emergency incidents within the territorial limits of the County of
Marin and the City of San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Rafael that the Fire Department is authorized to dispatch equipment and
personnel of our Fire Department beyond the limits of the City of San Rafael,
to furnish aid to other municipalities and fire protection districts within
the County of Marin, and that if such equipment and personnel exceed the
normal allotment of equipment and personnel in accordance with the Marin
County Fire Mutual Aid Procedure, it shall be dispatched with the concurrence
of the City Manager or his authorized designee.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on
Monday the eighteenth day of September 1978 by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Vice -Mayor Jensen
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Mayor Bettini
