RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL EXPANDING MEMBERSHIP
OF THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Cultural Affairs Commission was created
under Ordinance No. 1180, adopted March 17, 1975, including
the number of Commissioners and the terms of office; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1978, at a Special Meeting
of the City Council, said Council agreed to expand the
Cultural Affairs Commission from five members to six members
to allow the two applicants who had applied for the one
vacancy to be appointed to the Commission; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance to be passed to print, concurrent
with adoption of this Resolution, states that the number of
Cultural Affairs Commissioners shall be as determined by
Resolution of the City Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cultural
Affairs Commission shall be expanded to six members, with
future reversion to five members to be by attrition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution will become
effective thirty (30) days after final adoption of aforementioned
Ordinance.

California, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 20th day of November 1978,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
