A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
the State Department of Parks and Recreation - Historic Survey Granit.
Award
A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation may award matching funds under the-Nationo1
Historic Preservation Act of 1966 to develop a Statewide Inventory of Historic Reaaurce* *Wo
WHEREJiS, the City of San Rafael has agreed to perform the services as required In this
Ag rellemten t ;
WW, THEREFORE, a contract of services involving matching funds, or the equivalent, is hereby
made between the parties to this Agremetlnt acting in accordance with, W. S. PUBLIC LAW 89'-665
(80 STAT 915) Title 1, Section 103.
The City of San Rafael shall furnish all labor, materials, equlpm nt. supplies and other
necessary expenses to provide the Department of Parks and Recreation with the follawlaq:

The staff of this survey project shall consist of Charles Hall Page and his staff,
architectural and historical students from local colleges and unBversltieas, and
volunteers in coordination with the Cultural Affairs Commission.
The inventory shall be made open to the public through general newspaper article$,
placement of pertinent data In than San Rafael Planning Department and the Son Rafbal
IRedeveloMent Agency, as well as In the San Rafael Public Library. Approximately
F i f teen Hundred (1500) t nventory forma and the accompanying photographs sha 1 l be sent
upon completion of the survey to the California Office of HI steric Pre,"rvation for
Inclusion to the Statewide invewtory of Historic Resources.
Any publication resulting from this survey shall Includes the following statement, "this
publication was partially funded under the National Hlstorie Prmoervatlon Act of 1966
through the California Offles of Historic Preservation."
The City of San Rafael shalt keep accurate records which document eexpenditures, Including:
as Salaries and benefits for staff
b. Photography and stationery supplies
C. Photography, and
d. Milage costs for field inspection
City of San Rafael shall document all staff and volunteer time Including that for Charles
1 Page and Associates on strictly kept time shoots which will be sub.1sct to State and
oral audit at the and of the contract period.
The contract period shall be from the date of the signed Agreement and continuing f*r
