RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREE-
MENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE BELLAM BLVD.
ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES
as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute,
on behalf of the City of San Rafael an agreement with the
State of California for the Bellam Blvd. Roadway Improvements
Project, a copy of which is hereby attached and by this refer-
ence made a part hereof.

San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting
of the City Council of said City held on MONDAY, the 3RD day
of JANUARY, 1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and
Mayor Bettini

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR
BELLAM BLVD. ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT'S PROJ EC -
Findings and Purpose:
1. WHEREAS, the State of California has prepared plans to modify the
channelization at the Bellam Boulevard Interchange on State Route 17 freeway in
San Rafael; to resurface existing Bellam Boulevard between t'!e southbound ramps
and Andersen Drive (formerly Jacoby Street) to place it in a state of good Mair
for relinquishment to the City of San Rafael; and to insia77 trafffic control s'9-
nals at the intersections of Bellam Boulevard with the Oreeway sou thboune -amps,
the northbound ramps and Francisco Boulevard; and
2. WHEREAS, the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency contemplates to widen
Bellam Boulevard to four lanes with a two-way left turn lane in the medlar plus
shoulders, curbs and sidewalks; to realign Andersen Drive; and to insta'I trafllic
control signals at the intersection of Bellam Boulevard and Andersen Drive; and
3. WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency and the State desire to cooperate
and specify by agreement the terms and conditions under which said Agency's and
State's improvements are to be financed, designed, constructed and rfa�nta�red:
Resolved:
1. The Agency hereby authorizes the Chairman of its Board or the
Executive Director to execute that certain agreement with the State of California
for the Bellam Boulevard Roadway Improvements Project, a copy o" which is attached
hereto.
