RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ENDORSING CONTINUATION
OF THE URBAN THOROUGHFARE PROGRAM BY THE
COUNTY OF MA RIN .
WHEREAS, the cities of Marin County have participated for
the last decade under a joint Powers Agreement establishing the Urban
Thoroughfare System; and
WHEREAS, this Agreement is now subject to reaffirmation by
the County of Marin and cities within the County; and
WHEREAS, this program has been of direct benefit to the City
of San Rafael and the cities within Marin County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council endorses the continuation of this program based on the traditional
funding mechanism; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized to sign all appropriate agreements relating to a continuation of
the joint Powers Agreement.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on
Monday the 7th day of March , 1977, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen
