RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "PAGANINI POINT"
TO THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings for the detachment of
certain territory from County Service Area No. 19 were initiated by
Resolution No. 5279, a resolution of application, adopted by the City
Council of the City of San Rafael, an affected city as defined in the
District Reorganization Act of 1965, Division 1, (commencing with
Section 56000) of Title 6 of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, said resolution of application requested that pro-
ceedings for said reorganization to be initiated, conducted and completed
pursuant to said District Reorganization Act; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Marin, on May 18, 1977, adopted Resolution No. 77-22
approving said reorganization; and
WHEREAS, the designation assigned by the Local Agency Forma-
tion Commission to the territory proposed to be detached is "Paganini
Point Reorganization" , the exterior boundaries of which are described in
Attachment "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, said territory was found by the Local Agency Forma-
tion Commission to be inhabited; and
WHEREAS, the reason for said proposed reorganization is to
eliminate an unincorporated island within the sphere of influence of the
City of San Rafael by annexation of said territory to the City of San Rafael
with the primary advantage of providing increased services to the present
and future residents of "Paganini Point"
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Rafael
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
1. THAT, Tuesday, the 5th day of July, 1977, at 8:00 p.m.
or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the Council Chamber at
the City of San Rafael, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time, date
and place when and where said City Council shall hold a hearing on the
proposed reorganization.

2 . THAT, any interested person desiring to make written protest
against said reorganization shall do so by written communication filed with the
City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, not later than the hour herein set for hearing
on said proposed reorganization. Such written protest shall contain a description
sufficient to identify the land owned by him/her; any protest by a voter shall
contain the residential address of such voter.
3. THAT, said proposed reorganization shall not be subject to any
terms and conditions.
4. THAT, the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said
hearing by publication, posting and mailing as required by law.
I, MARION A GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday
the 6th day of June , 1977, by the following vote, to -wit:
