A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf of
the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with County of Marin, Alto Richardson
Bay Fire Protection District, City of Belvedere, Town of Corte Madera, Town of
Fairfax, Kentfield Fire Protection District, City of Larkspur, Marinwood Community
Services District, City of Mill Valley, Novato Fire Protection District_, Town of
Ross, Town of San Anselmo, City of Sausalito, Tamalpais Fire Protection District,
and the Tiburon Fire Protection District, re Fire Command Vehicle Joint Powers Agreement,
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on

JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of ,

and the Tiburon Fire Protection District,
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement are dhily constituted public
agencies under the laws of the State of California, and are empowered to
undertake fire prevention and suppression activities; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 6500, et seq. authorizes two or
more public agei,cies to jointly exercise iay power common to both; and
WHEREAS, it is mutually desirable by the parties hereto to enter
into a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement in order to own and manage a fire
command vehicle to be used during major conflagrations,
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows:
1. Management. The fire commaNd vehicle will be under the
management of the Marin County Fire Chiefs' Association, and all decisions
relative to this vehicle will be decided in accordance with bylaws of that
organization.
2. Maintenance. The maintenance of the fire command vehicle will
be performed by the member agencies on a rotating basis.
