A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SCOTT TILDEN FOR
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael an agreement with Scott Tilden for Landscape Archi-
tectural services. A copy of said agreement is hereby attached and by this
reference made a part hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday,
the 25TH day of JULY, 1977, by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen and Mayor Bettini

AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this 28th day of July
1977, by and between the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL (hereinafter called "City"), and
SCOTT TILDEN (hereinafter called the "Landscape Architect") .
WITNESSETH:
ARTICLE 1: ADDRESSES
That the City does hereby employ the Landscape Architect as an inde-
pendent contractor to render professional services in conjunction with City Staff
for the landscape improvement of certain properties to the extent and kind defined
in Article 2, below.
ARTICLE 2: SERVICES
follows:
The professional services of the Landscape Architect shall be as
a. Consultation and review for all or portions of the projects listed
in Article 3 below.
b. Schematic design including meetings with citizen -user groups.
c. Design development, i.e., plans , specifications, cost estimates,
etc.
d. Construction inspection.
ARTICLE 3: PAYMENT
a. The City agrees to pay the Landscape Architect for professional
services for the projects listed below for a total cost not to exceed six thousand
dollars ($6,000.00).
b. Billing:
1. Billing shall be submitted to the Public Works Department on
a monthly basis.
2. The established billing rate shall be $11.00 per hour.
3. The monthly billing shall not exceed $500.00, unless approved
by the City Manager. Billing shall continue until the entire
$6,000.00 is expended for professional services.
ARTICLE 4: PROJECTS
The City shall receive from Scott Tilden professional services for the
following projects:

Restoration of Falkirk Grounds
Peacock Gap
Harry Barbier Park Nike Site
Albert Park/Davidson School
Other projects as requested by the City Staff
ARTICLE 5: TERMINATION
a. This Agreement shall be terminated at any time by the City or
the Landscape Architect upon giving thirty days written notice.
b. This Agreement, unless previously terminated by written notice,
shall be terminated by the final payment for the finished work.
ARTICLE 6: IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto have executed this Agree-
ment as of the day and year first above written.
