A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AWARDING A CERTIFICATE
OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE TO WEST COAST LIMOUSINE, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has received application of
West Coast Limousine, Inc., for a limousine service within the City
of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.60 of the San Rafael Municipal Code
outlines six areas of consideration which determine whether or not
the Certificate of Public Convenience shall be awarded; and
WHEREAS, on October 3, 1977, a public hearing was held to
review these particular areas and to solicit public input as to
whether or not such a service is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that West coast Limousine, Inc. is awarded a Certificate
of Convenience to operate limousine services within the City of San
Rafael and that the following conditions be applied to this service:
1. Insurance as required by the ordinance shall be posted
and renewed annually.
2. Applicant's residence shall not be used for leasing
or renting purposes or storage of vehicles.
3. All required fees outlined within the Master Fee Reso-
lution and the Business License Fee shall be paid.
4. All other conditions of the ordinance relative to
drivers, etc., shall be met prior to commencement of service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rates for services shall
be as follows: $30 per hour and $15 for each consecutive hour
or $1 per mile, whichever is greater. For limousine service from
San Rafael to San Francisco International Airport the rate shall
be $30 one-way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall stand as
the Certificate of Public Convenience required by Section 10.60.030
of the Municipal Code.
